Delivered over two days, it builds the mandatory basic knowledge needed to work safely on site, covering everything from safe access and manual handling through to fire precautions and working with cranes.

Many employers require this qualification alongside a company induction before granting site access, and pairing the two helps keep both employees and contractors working with lower risk to themselves and others. The CCNSG card remains valid for three years, after which the ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport Renewal Course keeps certification current, and the qualification itself meets Health & Safety Executive statutory requirements.

Because manual handling and COSHH feature heavily within the syllabus, delegates already familiar with construction site basics often pair this course with the Manual Handling Online Course for a deeper technical grounding in each area. Delegates must bring a current UK photo card driving licence or valid passport as proof of identity, along with their National Insurance number and two passport-sized photographs on the first day; anyone unable to provide valid photo ID will not be accepted onto the course but will still be charged the full cost.

Will lunch be Included?

The joining instructions will indicate if lunch is provided for the duration of your course. Should you need to know prior to booking please contact one of our team who will be happy to advise.

When will I receive my Course Joining Instructions?

Course joining instructions are sent 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. If you book within this time frame they are emailed within 24 hours of the booking being placed.

Do I have to attend all days/sessions?

Full attendance on all days, at the required times stated on your course joining instructions, is compulsory to successfully complete the course.

What time does my course start?

Start and finish times are confirmed on your joining instructions which are issued 7 to 10 days prior to course commencement. Failure to arrive at the requested time may result in the delegate being turned away.

Can I complete a name change on my booking?

Yes, a name change can be completed free of charge providing the delegate being substituted has the required pre-requisites. You can submit your request by emailing our customer service team at [email protected] or calling on 01892 543000.

How long does a CCNSG Safety Passport card last?

The card is valid for three years, after which a one-day CCNSG Renewal Course is required to keep the qualification current.

What ID do I need to bring to the ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport Course?

A current UK photo card driving licence or valid passport. Other forms of photo ID must be agreed with the provider before the course date, and candidates without valid ID won't be accepted but will still be charged in full.

How is the ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport Course assessed?

Through a multiple-choice test at the end of each of the 10 modules. Delegates must score 80% or more on every test to pass.
